Livestock Handling & Emergencies for First Responders

Many first responders are not exposed to working with or handling livestock until the day they are dispatched to a call for service that involves them at a collision, at large on the road, found animals, injured animals, or during natural disasters & structure fires.

First responders safety when attending these calls for service is largely influenced by their understanding of animal behaviour and how to work around them.  However, if they have not grown up or previously been around livestock this is often not included in their training.

During this full day hands on and interactive training we will teach about safety when being around livestock & drive lines.   This course also covers some basic injuries & first aid, containment, public safety & more.
