Dog Training Programs
Here at Courage K9 we do not believe in a one size fits all training program. Every dog learns at a different pace and not all dogs learn the same. We believe in connection & the relationship is the foundation piece that then is built from in our training programs. The focus then turns to building knowledge first; the knowledge must be there before the understanding develops. As the dog progresses into the understanding & comprehension stages of training it is important to work on generalizing the skills to new environments. An often missed aspect of training is the generalization of skills. Dogs are geographical learners and we must remember to help them build their confidence and understanding in new locations as well.

Board & Train
4 Week Program
Pet Obedience Board & Train program is where all our specialized training programs start. During this initial program we will develop a solid foundation. New habits take 3 to become habit with proper consistency.

Service Dogs
Training Programs & Finished Service Dogs
In order to have a Service Dog you require proof of need from your medical professional. We provide owner-trained private training sessions tailored to your goals & needs. We also provide full-training programs & finished service dogs.
Therapy Dogs
Therapy Dogs Canada
Are you looking for a Therapy Dog, Facility Dog or OSI K9? We can assist with your training needs or provide fully trained dogs. All our dogs are certified through Therapy Dogs Canada. We encourage all handlers to also complete the certification program.
Scent Training
Workshops
Scent Training is great for mental stimulation for your dogs! It is also a lot of fun! Whether your are looking to learn scent work for fun at home, medical alerts, shed hunting, detection work, or any of the many other jobs dogs can have we can get your started.
We offer workshops onsite & offsite. Contact us if you are interested in a workshop at your facility.
Protection
In House Only
Protection dogs are not dogs that randomly attack everything that comes into their path. A properly trained protection dog is stable and has high obedience. We do not offer this training without first demonstrating the handler understands & agrees to our program parameters.
Tracking
Workshops & Training Programs
Tracking is another activity that provides amazing mental stimulation for your dog. It can also be very therapeutic for the handlers as well. We do offer workshops & individualized training sessions in tracking.
